Dog Crate End Table with Mesh Sides for Extra Large Dogs, Grey

This is the XL version in the open mesh furniture crate range, with an internal length of 113cm and an internal width of 69cm. It suits large and extra large breeds that most furniture crates cannot accommodate, and doubles as a side table. Wire mesh on three sides keeps air flowing freely and lets your dog see out in all directions.

Does it fit your dog?

Measure from the nose to the base of the tail and add 10 to 15cm. For height, measure floor to the top of the head when sitting and add 10cm. Those are your minimum internal dimensions.

Based on the internal dimensions, this crate suits large and extra large breeds. Breeds that typically fit include Labradors, Labradoodles, Golden Retrievers, Dalmatians, German Shepherds and English Bull Terriers. Measure your individual dog and compare to the internal dimensions before ordering, as dogs of the same breed vary considerably in size.

Before you buy

• Already crate trained? The open mesh sides mean your dog can see out in all directions. Good for large dogs who settle better with visibility. Leave the door open for the first few days.
• Not yet crate trained? The open bar design is more approachable than a fully enclosed crate, but a wire crate remains the most straightforward starting point for first-time crating.
• Dog who needs privacy? The open mesh sides offer less den-like enclosure. If your dog settles better in a more enclosed space, the D02-193 semi-enclosed range may suit them better.
• Chewer? Melamine coating adds durability but this is not chew-proof. Suits settled adult dogs past the destructive phase.
• Puppy? Buy for the adult size. This crate does not include a divider panel.

Practical questions

Is the finish pet-safe?
PawHut does not publish independent safety certification for the board or finish. We recommend airing the crate for 24 to 48 hours before first use, especially if you notice a new-wood smell on unboxing.

Can I use it outdoors?
No. Wood-based panels warp and swell when exposed to moisture. Indoor use only.

How do I clean it?
Wipe the crate body with a lightly damp cloth. Do not soak the wood panels. The cushion is machine washable.

How long does assembly take?
Typically under an hour. All fixings are included.

What if it does not fit my dog?
