Dog Crate End Table with Mesh Sides and Lockable Door for Medium Dogs, Grey

This furniture style dog crate has open wire mesh on three sides, meaning your dog can see out and air circulates freely in all directions. The melamine-coated panels are scratch and wear resistant. It doubles as a side table and includes a washable cushion.

Does it fit your dog?

Measure from the nose to the base of the tail and add 10 to 15cm. For height, measure floor to the top of the head when sitting and add 10cm. Those are your minimum internal dimensions.

Always compare your dog to the internal figures. The panels reduce the usable space compared to the external dimensions.

This crate suits medium dogs up to 50cm body length and 20kg. Typical breeds that fit well include French Bulldogs, Beagles, Westies, Dachshunds and Border Terriers. If your dog is between sizes, go up.

• Already crate trained? The open mesh sides mean your dog can see out in all directions, which suits dogs who feel more settled with good visibility. Leave the door open initially.
• Not yet crate trained? The open bar design is easier to introduce than a fully enclosed crate, as your dog can see you throughout. Still, starting with a wire crate is the more straightforward route for first-time crating.
• Anxious dog who needs more privacy? The open mesh sides offer less den-like seclusion than solid panel crates. A more enclosed design may suit an anxious dog better.
• Chewer? The melamine-coated panels add durability but this is not a chew-proof crate. Suits calm adult dogs past the destructive phase.

Practical questions

Is the finish pet-safe?
PawHut does not publish independent safety certification for the board or finish. We recommend airing the crate for 24 to 48 hours before first use, especially if you notice a new-wood smell on unboxing.

Can I use it outdoors?
No. Wood-based panels warp and swell when exposed to moisture. Indoor use only.

How do I clean it?
Wipe the crate body with a lightly damp cloth. Do not soak the wood panels. The cushion is machine washable.

How long does assembly take?
Typically under an hour. All fixings are included.
