Anti-Chew Dog Crate End Table with Escape-Proof Door for Extra Large Dogs, Walnut Brown

This is the extra large version of the anti-chew dog crate range, with 116.5cm of internal length — one of the widest furniture crates available. The large mesh panels are constructed to resist chewing, and the door has a reinforced escape-proof locking mechanism. Doubles as a side table with the same walnut finish as the rest of the range.

Is this the right crate for your dog?

Designed for large and extra large dogs that chew panels or have escaped standard furniture crates. If your dog is calm and settled, any furniture crate in the right size will do. If they actively chew or have escaped before, this is the more appropriate choice.

The chew-resistant mesh panels significantly reduce damage but should not be treated as indestructible. Dogs that destroy wire crates need a heavy-duty metal crate, not a furniture crate of any kind.

Does it fit your dog?

Measure from the nose to the base of the tail and add 10 to 15cm. For height, measure floor to the top of the head when sitting and add 10cm. Those are your minimum internal dimensions.

Before you buy

• Active chewer? This crate is the right choice. Chew-resistant mesh panels and reinforced door lock. Still supervise initially — no furniture crate is fully indestructible.
• Escape artist? The reinforced escape-proof door lock specifically addresses dogs who work latches or push doors open.
• Not yet crate trained? Start with a wire crate first. Build the positive association before introducing the enclosed design.
• Heavy chewer that destroys wire crates? A furniture crate is not appropriate regardless of construction. A heavy-duty steel crate is the correct solution.

Practical questions

Is the finish pet-safe?
PawHut does not publish independent safety certification for the board or finish. We recommend airing the crate for 24 to 48 hours before first use, especially if you notice a new-wood smell on unboxing.

Can I use it outdoors?
No. Wood-based panels warp and swell when exposed to moisture. Indoor use only.

How do I clean it?
Wipe the crate body with a lightly damp cloth. Do not soak the panels.

How long does assembly take?
Typically under an hour. All fixings are included.

What if it does not fit my dog?
