Product Description

This grey furniture style dog crate has enclosed wooden side panels giving your dog a private, den-like space. The same footprint as the open mesh large crate, but with solid sides rather than wire — a better choice for dogs that settle more easily when they cannot see everything going on around them. Includes a washable cushion and doubles as a side table.

Does it fit your dog?

Measure from the nose to the base of the tail and add 10 to 15cm. For height, measure floor to the top of the head when sitting and add 10cm. Those are your minimum internal dimensions.

Internal dimensions: 95cm L x 54cm W x 66.3cm H
External dimensions: 100cm L x 60cm W x 73.5cm H

Always compare your dog to the internal figures. The panels reduce the usable space compared to the external dimensions.

This crate suits large dogs up to 60cm body length and 30kg. Breeds that typically fit well include Cocker Spaniels, Springer Spaniels, Cockapoos, Labradors on the smaller end and Dalmatians. If you are between sizes, go up.

Before you buy

  • Already crate trained? The enclosed sides and den-like feel suit settled adult large dogs well. Leave the door open for the first few days and let your dog settle in at their own pace.
  • Not yet crate trained? Start with a wire crate first. A fully enclosed crate is harder to introduce to a dog with no crate experience, as they cannot see out.
  • Dog that needs visibility? If your dog is more settled when they can see the room around them, the open mesh version (D02-192V71GY) may suit them better.
  • Chewer? Wood and particle board will not resist determined chewing. This suits settled adult dogs past the destructive phase.
  • Puppy? Buy for the adult size. This crate does not include a divider panel.

Practical questions

Is the finish pet-safe?
PawHut does not publish independent safety certification for the board or finish. We recommend airing the crate for 24 to 48 hours before first use, especially if you notice a new-wood smell on unboxing.

Can I use it outdoors?
No. Wood-based panels warp and swell when exposed to moisture. Indoor use only.

How do I clean it?
Wipe the crate body with a lightly damp cloth. Do not soak the wood panels. The cushion is machine washable.

How long does assembly take?
Typically under an hour. All fixings are included.

What if it does not fit my dog?
Free returns on all orders. If the crate is not right, contact our UK support team and we will sort it.
