Its 100cm square top lifts from coffee height to dining height and back, so the same set that cradles you on a lazy Sunday squares up for plates and glasses when people come round. No second table, no shuffling furniture. Drop it low to put your feet up, raise it for supper, and the tempered glass top wipes clean either way.

The seating is a proper corner: two 2-seater sofas meeting at a triangular corner seat, room for six along the run, all in hand-woven synthetic rattan over a rust-free aluminium frame. The deep grey Weather Shield cushions are the kind you sink into and stay, ten of them across the seats and backs.

Like the rest of the Wentworth range it is weather-resistant rather than weatherproof. It will take the summer outdoors without complaint, but a cover over winter and the cushions stored somewhere dry will keep it looking its best for years. A wipe with warm, soapy water is the rest of the upkeep.
