This is the extra large version of the walnut sliding door dog crate range, with an internal length of 114cm. It suits large and extra large breeds that most furniture crates cannot accommodate. The horizontal sliding barn door needs no swing clearance, making it easier to position in a room. Cushion included. Doubles as a side table.

Does it fit your dog?

Measure from the nose to the base of the tail and add 10 to 15cm. For height, measure floor to the top of the head when sitting and add 10cm. Those are your minimum internal dimensions.

Always compare your dog to the internal figures. The wooden panels and frame reduce the usable space compared to the external dimensions.

Based on the internal dimensions, this crate suits large and extra large breeds. Breeds that typically fit include Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Dalmatians and Rottweilers. Measure your individual dog and compare to the internal dimensions before ordering, as dogs of the same breed vary considerably in size.

Before you buy

• Already crate trained? The enclosed den feel and generous space suit settled adult large dogs well. Leave the sliding door open initially and let your dog settle in at their own pace.
• Not yet crate trained? Start with a wire crate first. Enclosed wooden crates are harder to introduce to a dog with no crate experience.
• On the sliding door: Opens horizontally with no swing clearance needed. Useful beside furniture or in a narrower space.
• Chewer? Wood and particle board will not resist determined chewing. This suits settled adult dogs past the destructive phase.
• Puppy? Buy for the adult size. This crate does not include a divider panel.

Practical questions

Is the finish pet-safe?
PawHut does not publish independent safety certification for the board or finish. We recommend airing the crate for 24 to 48 hours before first use, especially if you notice a new-wood smell on unboxing.

Can I use it outdoors?
No. Wood-based panels warp and swell when exposed to moisture. Indoor use only.

How do I clean it?
Wipe the crate body with a lightly damp cloth. Do not soak the wood panels. The cushion is machine washable.

How long does assembly take?
Typically under an hour. All fixings are included.

What if it does not fit my dog?
