What's the difference between a dressing table and a vanity desk?
They’re the same piece of furniture — a table with a mirror and drawers for applying makeup and getting ready. “Vanity” and “vanity desk” are the American terms; “dressing table” is standard British English. Across the Vasagle range the only real difference is that models sold as vanity desks usually have a larger, LED-lit makeup mirror, while the frame, drawers and dimensions are otherwise identical.
What is a good height for a dressing table?
The work surface sits at standard desk height, around 75cm from the floor, so you can sit at it with your knees underneath. Including the mirror, Vasagle models stand about 140–145cm tall overall. Pair the table with a stool roughly 45–50cm high so the mirror sits at eye level when you’re seated.
What widths do they come in, and which suits a small bedroom?
Vasagle dressing tables run from about 60cm wide up to 117cm, with a depth of around 40cm so they sit close to the wall. A 60–80cm table fits an alcove or narrow wall and still holds a mirror and drawers; 90–117cm models add room for a lamp, trays and a larger LED mirror. Exact dimensions are on each product page.
What are Vasagle dressing tables made from?
They’re built from engineered wood — chipboard or MDF with a hard-wearing melamine or laminate finish — most often in white, with black and rustic wood-effect options. Larger models add sliding shelves or extra drawer banks. The LED-mirror versions use a glass mirror with a low-voltage light strip, and several have a USB port or plug socket built into the frame.
How do the LED mirrors work?
On the lit models an LED strip frames the mirror and runs from a plug or USB. Most offer adjustable brightness and three colour temperatures — warm, natural and cool white — so you can match daylight for makeup, and they dim from a touch control. Plain-mirror models have no lighting; each product page states which type you’re getting.
Can a dressing table be used as a desk?
Yes. With a flat ~75cm-high top, drawers and knee room, a dressing table works as a compact writing or laptop desk, and on models where the mirror lifts off it converts fully. The narrower 60–80cm tables suit a bedroom that doubles as a workspace — check the ~40cm surface depth fits a laptop and notepad.
