Yes — the gas and charcoal sides are fully independent with separate lids and thermometers. You can run both simultaneously at different temperatures, which is useful for cooking different foods at the same time or keeping food warm on one side while finishing on the other.

Is a gas canister included?
No — a gas canister is not included. The BBQ is compatible with standard propane and LPG canisters, which are widely available from hardware stores, garden centres and supermarkets across the UK. The regulator and hose are included.

What type of charcoal should I use?
Standard lumpwood charcoal or briquettes are both suitable. Lumpwood lights faster and burns hotter; briquettes burn longer and more evenly. Avoid self-lighting charcoal with chemical accelerants if you prefer a cleaner flavour.

How do I clean the cast iron grill grates?
Allow the grates to cool fully before cleaning. Brush off residue with a grill brush while still warm if possible. Avoid soaking cast iron in water — wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. A light coat of cooking oil after cleaning helps prevent rust and extends the life of the grates.

How long does assembly take?
